About this shop
Southern Accents is a family-owned architectural salvage and antiques business in Cullman, Alabama, founded in 1969 by Dr. Garlan Gudger. The company describes itself as the oldest and largest architectural store in Alabama. Its inventory includes mantels, doors, windows, corbels, newel posts, ironwork, lighting, hardware, tile, stonework, gates, shutters, furniture and lumber, with a focus on wood from older homes and structures. A downtown showroom is complemented by a wood warehouse, and the team helps customers locate specific pieces for restoration projects, offers custom work, and carries restoration products for preserving period buildings.
